I have finally made some progress painting the upstairs bathroom. It was, of course, mint green. We (okay, I; Michael thinks I way overthink this bathroom) thought a lot about what color to change it to. There had been bright teal green paint on the wall before the mint green (visible in some drips at the edges around the tile) and I knew I couldn't top that. The problem is, there are already a lot of colors going on in the bathroom - the ceiling and window frames are white, the tub is sorta-whitish ivory, the toilet and sink are grey, the wall and tub surround tile is grey with a navy blue highlight tile, and the floor tile is black. The grey of the toilet and tile is an unusual one, almost a rosy purple-grey. I had multiple paint color strips in the blue-purple-grey family up on the wall for a long time.

Ultimately I decided to paint the bathroom white. I'm using the rest of the Sherwin Williams Harmony, and I think it is again going to take 3 coats. Since the space is small and had tons of angles, a lot of the painting is by hand, so it's taking forever. I did get two coats on with the roller on Sunday morning, while Michael distracted the children, so I feel like the end may be in sight.
