Raised garden beds

After much indecisiveness, we decided to go with cheap & efficient for my Christmas present of a 4x8 foot raised garden bed. The corners are machined metal - my guess is aluminum - from Gardener's Supply. $17.

We chose a 6 inch depth but they make corners for 8 and 10 inch as well. We bought untreated pine 2x6es for the sides, and the corners simply screw on (with our handy dandy cordless drill). If the untreated wood rots in a couple of years, we can buy new boards - they are super cheap.

Total assembly time was about 15 minutes, and that was with Peter helping.

Now we need some dirt (16 cubic feet, to be precise) - I am thinking a mixture of topsoil, peat, and composted cow manure. I am already thinking that 4x8 is pretty small, and wanting a second bed.
