I looked up our house on the Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps available for Ohio (free and online via OPLIN): http://sanborn.ohioweblibrary.org/
The first is from 1922, sheet 38, and hard to read! The house is there, although not with the level of detail I usually expect from Sanborn maps. For example, you can't see a porch or the greenhouse, and there's no garage (which doesn't mean there wasn't a garage, in my opinion.)
The second is of a little bit obscure date - it looks as if these volumes were repeatedly updated as late as 1950? The entry is labeled "1904-June 1950 vol. 10, 1937-June 1950 - sheet #1074" Not something I've seen with Sanborn Maps before. This is the kind of detail I'm used to seeing, though (despite the mis-naming of the street!) - the porch, greenhouse, and back entry porch are clear as well as the garage at the SW corner of the lot. I am not sure what D means.
