still painting...

I am slooooowly working my way though covering the mint green paint. Currently in progress is the upstairs bedroom, which is being painted Grain 02 yellow. The paint is once again Yolo, no-VOC. Unfortunately it is not covering the green very well. In the photos below, the sloped ceiling has one coat, and the wall has two. I've given in and ordered primer (again from Cox Paint in CA), as well as some Air 01 (off-white) for the sloping ceiling parts. I have trim paint in Air 01 already for the now wood-colored woodwork.



I'm conflicted about the Grain 02 color. In the can it is a delicious creamy butter color, and in some lights it looks good to me on the wall. I like it in the picture above, for example.



In other lights it comes across as very bright, though, and a little orange-y. This is a little visible here. Hence the decision to do the ceiling parts in a neutral. I do not need to be completely surrounded by yellow.

Any bets on when the bedroom will be totally done? I'm thinking October, at the rate I am going (also, it gets hot up there in the summer, an extra disincentive.)
